For the right individual this role offers the chance to gain a deep understanding of e-commerce, to shape the way eBay is going forward and to be part of a great company.
The internship is full-time and would last for a period of 6 months. It could count as part of a Master programme and will be remunerated.
Core Responsibilities
Competitive intelligence · Monitor market trends and actions by key competitors · Analyze financial performances and understand product developments · Report regularly on key competitor developments and market trends
Financial analysis (following ramp up in competitive intelligence) · Support the Finance teams in understanding eBay’s business in Europe, e.g. revenue and cost analysis, financial planning, etc.
Key skills and experience
· Personal fit: eager to learn, energetic and a good sense of humor · A passion for eBay, its mission and business proposition, as well as for internet / Web 2.0 technologies · Strong analytics and financial skills (ideally demonstrated by strong performance in internships) · Strong problem-solving skills, capacity to build quantitative models, proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL coding a plus · Strong synthesis and communication skills (verbal and written) · Languages: English & German are both a must have · University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Master level preferred
